Chelsea Young Writers produces an inspiring programme of creative writing after-school clubs to help budding writers establish and develop their creative skills. Connecting children’s authors and trained instructors with eager young learners, our courses help to instil a lifelong love of the craft and introduce children of different abilities and ages to important and exciting creative writing concepts. Creative writing after school courses follow the school term calendar. Our prevailing objective is to kindle critical thinking and equip our young writers with a whole host of versatile creative skills through participation in open, inspiring and interactive workshops. Our after-school courses comprise four strands, tailored to the varying needs of budding writers in Key Stages 1, 2, 3. While these are intended to cater for different ages and abilities, it should be noted that your child does not necessarily have to progress from one to the next – indeed, each strand offers a great chance for children to sharpen, refine and enhance their writing skills.
