Chelsea Young Writers is launching Saturday morning creative writing courses for children in Cambridge from spring 2027. We are planning to start in Cambridge with two age groups, 6–7 and 8–12 year olds. The first programme will be Pause, Breathe & Write, a new mindful creative writing programme which brings together our expertise in young writers’ development with carefully adapted mindfulness practices to support both language growth and self-confidence. What We’re Planning for Cambridge
Our Cambridge programme is planned to begin with Pause, Breathe & Write, a new mindful creative writing course designed to help children slow down, notice the world around them, and turn their observations into imaginative and meaningful writing.
We are planning Saturday morning groups in Cambridge, for children aged 6–7 and 8–12. Sessions will combine carefully guided writing activities with age-appropriate breathing, focus and sensory observation exercises, helping children explore story ideas, descriptive language, imagery and written expression in a calm, supportive setting.
Full details will be provided to families before booking opens. We expect to confirm the course schedule and booking information closer to autumn 2026, and families who register interest will be contacted first when places become available.
