Holiday Club: 09–13 April 2018. The Whole Story: Hickory Dickory and other Twisted Tales – (8–12 Yrs)
So, the King had an alibi, did he? Ever considered that the black bird was set up?
Love a good mystery? See yourself as a Queen or King of crime? Fancy yourself as the next Agatha Christie? Well, you’ve come to the right place. Because here’s your chance to investigate some unsolved crimes.
We’ll consider questions such as who really murdered the Three Little Pigs. Why was the mouse on the clock at precisely one o’clock? And who was the mouse, anyway?
Join us as, just like the Queen of Crime, Agatha Christie, we’re inspired by well-known nursery rhymes and fairy tales. And, weaving their themes into deliciously convoluted plots, we’ll populate our stories with genius super sleuths and dastardly villains.
Perhaps you’ll go on the trail of an unsolved crime such as, who broke Jack’s crown? Or, you’ll use a favourite rhyme or tale to inspire a contemporary mystery. Or you’ll create your characters and plant your clues drawing from a favourite verse.
Whatever route you take, you’ll be sure to lead your reader on a twisted journey to a gratifying ending.
