Holiday Club: 29 May – 01 June 2018. The Whole Story: Running with Wolves! A leaf out of ‘The Wolf Wilder’ – (8–12 Yrs)
Your work is just as tough as the biting winters you face living as a Wolf Wilder in Russia. In an untrusting world, you are faced with trying to earn faith from almost everyone you encounter – from the wolves you have to un-domesticate to return to the wild, to a soldier-boy who is part of the army that threatens your very existence. Will you survive going on the run from the Russian Army?
In this course, we will be taking a literal leaf out of Katherine Rundell’s book, as we look to The Wolf Wilder to inspire our storytelling. Rundell is revered for her ability to create authentic characters and intricate locations, no matter how far removed they may be from our own lives. We’ll find out just how Katherine Rundell evokes such strong emotions, places and people in her books, and learn how to take your own readers on a rollercoaster ride on each of your pages. Join us to write yourself into the wild!
